Little D faced us most of the time so it took some poking to get him/her to move around a bit to get the neck measurements. We were able to see the little legs and arms moving, she pointed out the hands, a foot at one point, and the baby's back and spine. It was all just too amazing for me to even put into words. I think dad-to-be was in awe of what he saw, and I can see how happy and proud he was of his growing son or daughter.
The nuchal fold was measuring at 1.7 (which is normal and average), heart was beating strong at 158 bpm, and baby is a good 2 1/2 inches from crown to rump! There was no chance at a gender shot, so now I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up for that one (some say they can guess at this point with about 70% accuracy). Now we just have to wait for the blood test results which we should have by Friday or Monday at the latest. Hoping for and expecting the best after the good scan!
I am so proud to show off these pictures of our little baby! I'll also share a couple bump pictures. One from 9 weeks 2 days and one from Sunday at 12 weeks 2 days. What a difference! Here comes the pooch!
