Stats!

Just returned home from my 38 week, 3 day appointment and yet again; nothing too exciting to report. Thank goodness I was able to see my doctor today, as there was no pain or discomfort involved in today's appointment! However, I still sit at 1.25 cm dilated and only 25% effaced. Apparently I must have misunderstood the stats two weeks ago, because I thought she said I was nearly 100% effaced at that time. So, not only have I not progressed, but according to where I thought I was, I've regressed! Not fair! :)

She mentioned today that the fact of the matter is, first time moms tend to go over their due date, so she wasn't surprised that I'm still pregnant! And I'm not either (yet). She doesn't like to induce first time mom's either (thank goodness), since it definitely increases the risk for c-section when your body just isn't ready to deliver. But on that note, she doesn't like to go far past 41 weeks either. So, if Baby D decides to make us wait, he will be served his eviction notice on December 4th and I'll be induced since my doctor will be on call that day. In the meantime, I'm think I'll have a heart to heart discussion (i.e. put my foot down) with this boy...I am still hoping for my November baby! Rob and I were talking last night, and he just feels like a November baby. So, we'll see! At this point in time, my guess (well, hope) is for November 22nd. I've got a feeling!

Cross your fingers for us this next week that this little guy decides he's ready to make his big debut!
