2.5 Years Old!

Yesterday, my little tiny baby boy I used to cuddle in my arms turned 2 1/2 years old! Good lord, does time fly! I truly cannot believe it. Now I have a rambunctious, smart, energetic, talking toddler who amazes me in every way. He certainly has his opinions, likes, dislikes and a personality all his own (one which I wouldn't change for the world!). He is the best kid in the world...no really, he is. Be around him for 2 minutes and I dare you to not fall in love with him. It's impossible! I mean, just look at this face!

I couldn't have dreamt up a better child....absolutely the light of my life. I can only hope one day that I get to experience this joy again by having another baby. Ronan sure makes me want about 10 of them! (well maybe not, but you get the idea)

These days are filled with curiosity....and lots and lots of learning. He loves to count, play with cars and trucks and planes (of course), could spend hours outside in his play house and sandbox, loves to kick the soccer ball, play with his baseball set, and has even taken up a little golf. He can appear to be a shy little man, but in my opinion he's just independent. He often plays alone at school, but also talks about all his friends when he's at home, so he just loves to do what he wants to do. He loves his teachers, and they love him, of course!

He is very much a child of routine...every day after school when he and Daddy get home, he will walk in, walk straight up to me and exclaim "I want fruit snacks!". My response is always "What do you say?" and he will answer "Pahwease??". How can I say no to that? Then next on the list is helping Daddy check the mail, which is always brings in a couple pieces of mail and sets it on the table for me. And he's great at helping me put laundry in the dryer (can he always stay this way??) and is so helpful cleaning up his toys before bed time. Like I said, he is a creature of habit! And I love our routines and look forward to them everyday (okay, bath time, not so much...but everything else, yes!).

Okay - I take it back. I might change *one tiny thing* about him. Eating habits! I can't get this child to eat a vegetable to save my life anymore. He used to eat everything I made...everything. Now? Not so much. He loves to eat chicken or meatballs, and still loves bread, fruit and cheese. But veggies? Forget it. I think I need to explore a multi-vitamin option, because it's starting to worry me! Ronan, you hear that?? Eat your veggies! Please, and thank you. I asked politely!

Here are a couple videos to illustrate my son's charm and then, I'm off my bragging post. :) Until next time!
