The past couple months he has grown and evolved so much. His vocabulary continues to absolutely explode. I couldn't even tell you how many words he knows and says now, there is no way to keep count at this point. And his memorization skills are out-of-this-world, if I do say so myself. Case in point - yesterday while relaxing at home on Labor Day, Ronan and I were reading books while Daddy mowed the lawn. After many, many books had been read, I asked Ronan if I could have a break. So, he hopped right up and said "I'm going to read Goodnight Train!", grabbed his book and literally starting "reading" the book, page by page, And let me also mention, we have only owned this book for ONE WEEK. We have read it probably 2-3 times a day since we purchased it (he loves it), but seriously - one week and he has memorized the book. I think my mouth was on the floor the whole time I was taking video. And if it sounds like I'm bragging about my child in this post, well....I am a little, I suppose!! I'm just so proud of my boy!
Ro's big thing lately is to say "I wanna say it!!" or "I wanna do it!!" - he's very independent. If you say or do something that is part of "his" routine instead of letting him say it, he gets very upset and makes you start over. I mean, if you even take him off of the changing table and say "Okay, it's time to go brush your teeth", he flips out and we have to have a do-over. "NOOOOO, I wanna say it!!!" followed by lots of tears. I mean, I actually have to start over, which includes putting him back on the changing table so he can say it before I pick him up. It's frustrating, weird and adorable all rolled into one.
Please enjoy the video of him reading! It's short because my memory ran out and I finished it up on another device, so I will just post the first video instead of both of them. :)
