17 Months (Bluebonnets & Mother's Day)

Well, I am definitely behind the times! Ronan actually turned 17 months 11 days ago - but we have been so busy and preoccupied, I completely forgot to write a post! We sold our house last month and we are so busy house hunting and packing, that things are a bit crazy these days. We have to be out of our house in exactly 2 weeks and 2 days - and to say we are panicking a little is an understatement. At this point, we will be "homeless" for an unknown amount of time (aka: staying with my mom) so the burden - ahem, and expense - of having to move twice is really weighing on us. We are so happy we were able to sell our house so quickly - it's a good problem to have, but the market is so crazy right now that houses are selling before we even get a chance to see them! It makes it really hard to find our new home. Wish us luck!

Back to Ronan! He's doing so well, and is literally RUNNING all over the place. He loves to play chase and have Mama run around the house after him, laughing it up the whole time. He has lots of opinions, and still throws a tantrum here and there seemingly for no reason at all - that part is sometimes difficult to figure out. I can sense his frustration when he isn't able to communicate something the way he would like. It breaks my heart for him!

Last weekend was Mother's Day, and we were able to take a short break from all the stress and enjoy ourselves a bit. Friday started off with 'Mommy and Muffins' at daycare, so I was able to join my son for breakfast that morning. It was fun to see him interacting with all his friends at school. Saturday we met some friends and their two boys at a little free festival at a local park, had lunch, packed (okay, that part wasn't fun), and watched a movie after Ronan went to sleep. Sunday we had bagels first thing in the morning, then I went for a nice run alone outside since it was such a beautiful day, then brunch at one of my favorite places. Then I was spoiled by Rob doing the grocery shopping while I stayed home and relaxed while Ronan took his nap - then it was off to see my mom and hang at her place for a while. Overall it was a great weekend! One of the best I have had in a while due to all the craziness in the last month.

A few weeks ago, Ronan and I took some pictures in a bluebonnet field here in town. Dad was going to join us, but we were about to put the house on the market and had so much to do - so we decided it would be a "Mommy and Me" session and he would stay home to do the work. It was fun to get some professional pictures of me and my beautiful baby together. He's getting so big!
