Waaaahhhhhhh. That's the sound of my sobbing at my desk at work....I just logged on to thebump.com where the website so in-your-face informed me that there are 35 days until my child's birthday. How am I about to be the mother of a 1 year old?? I can't tell you how many times these words have left my mouth in recent weeks: "Having a baby makes you see and realize just how fast life really does go by and how short it really is". In one quick year we went from a newborn that could barely move to this energetic, happy, growing toddler that is getting his very own personality and could very well be walking by the time he turns 1. It's amazing, wonderful and sad how fast it happens.
Okay, I'm off my soap box and back to the original point of this post. My little guy is so funny, cute and smart. He has recently figured out peek-a-boo and how much fun it is to make himself "disappear". I was giving him a bath last week and he just decided he would start to play with the towel when he was getting all dried off and changed. You can see how proud he is of himself, and just how deliberate his moves are, so it's pretty obvious he truly knows how to play the game. It couldn't be more cute! Excuse me for sounding like a broken record, but I have to keep asking "Where's Ronan?" in order for him to continuing playing.
Poor baby has been having a rough time lately, he got his first molar on Saturday and he got it quite early (typically they start coming between months 14-18) and so now he is boycotting solid foods, he's not sleeping well and wakes up screaming several times a night. It's been hard on him....and mama and dada! I am ready for my sleeping through the night kiddo to be back. I have no idea how long this sleep regression will last, but it's rough, so hopefully not long.
I have several more videos to post but my phone is having trouble uploading to You Tube so I'll leave you with this last one. We (finally) got Ronan a walker about a week ago to give him some practice using his legs for walking. He's not too sure about it, but he has fun in it for a few minutes at a time. How house is not really walker friendly, but he makes the most of it. Enjoy. :)
