Our boy is learning so much these days, and so fast! He's also *still* having trouble sleeping. I swear, it's payback since from 7 weeks old to about 14 months old, he slept through the night. It was glorious. Since 14 months? He is up every. single. night. Even if we don't actually have to get up to tend to him, he is up screaming and/or crying for short time, regardless. That makes for two tired parents. It's been especially bad the last few weeks. I believe this is due to 1) two year molars rearing their ugly heads and 2) the general cold, fever and cough symptoms he has had over the last few days. Poor bub - on Monday night alone he must have been up every hour. I lost count after the 4th time we were up and out of bed. Last night Rob and I were so tired after work we both laid on the couch barely keeping our eyes open while Ronan brought us books to read all evening. It's tough to have zero energy at the end of the day to play with your child! Luckily, it's not always that bad, or we would be in trouble.
One of the major developments this last month has been Ronan's ever expanding vocabulary, so I thought I would take this time to put together an updated list of words that he says now, so I can add it to his baby book. And these are also words that he actually knows what they mean, as well - not just words that he repeats - and he is repeating EVERYTHING these days. Here we go!

Phew - that took a while! And I'm almost certain there are quite a few I missed.
Between work, Ronan, and trying to get our house all finished up we have been busy, busy, busy. We got a lot done over the Labor Day long weekend, including painting the dining room and Ronan's playroom. We (amazingly) were able to paint the ENTIRE dining room during his nap on Saturday....thanks to his little cold, he slept for 3 hours - that's a lot of time to get stuff done! It's looking better and better. The only room left to tackle is the guest room (the Maverick room) and is the one I'm dreading the most. Paint has been chosen and purchased, but priming and painting over the Maverick stripes is going to be annoying and the trim and doors in there are a grey/blue that we are going to have to paint - which I think we will leave up to the professionals. It's going to be a pain, but the end result will mean every room in the house is now painted. Hooray! Next up on the list of things to do? Plan a 2nd birthday party - I can't believe it!
