Walking

Well, Ronan took his first steps just 16 days ago...and he's already becoming a pro! Over the last week he has started to stand up unassisted a lot more (before he wanted our help to stand and then would take off walking). Then, in just the last two days, he has started to walk clear across the room or all the way down the hall. It's just amazing how quickly they start moving!

He's been walking a little at school now and since he is over 14 months and still in the 6-12 month room (because he wasn't walking), they are going to start transitioning him next week! This makes me happy and sad!! I'm happy he will rejoin some of his buddies he has known since he started daycare (Preston, Owen, Julia and his little girlfriend, Eli, to name a few) but sad because it means he's getting too big!! I will say though, it will be nice that we will save a few bucks a week in daycare costs now that he's moving up. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about the transition though - he's leaving teachers that I know and trust and teachers that he loves and they love him. I haven't even met the teachers in the next class...guess it's about time I get up there and check them out to make sure they get the Mom "stamp of approval"!

Ronan is a handful these days and is definitely learning to throw some toddler tantrums. The screams I hear out of him are ear piercingly loud at times - but I still couldn't be more in love with him. His tantrums are made up with the sweetest little acts, faces, giggles and squeals. My favorite thing in particular at the moment? If I sit and ask Ronan to bring me a book to read, he will crawl over to his tent, sort through the books, pick one out (which is almost always "Where is Baby's Mommy?") and bring it over, hand it to me and proceed to crawl in my lap and sit patiently while I read it to him (usually over and over). My heart generally winds up in a large puddle on the floor when he does this. I live for these moments.

Here is the latest video of my sweetheart walking - he is so cute!
