Well, you go out of town for two days for your birthday, come back and your baby has changed entirely. It's crazy how that happens! And I can only think he's really changing every single day - it's just more obvious after 2-3 days away. I'm late on this post (again), but just had to come over here and write quickly today - because my baby counted to 10(!!!!) this morning! I knew he could count to 3 - as my mom learned while we were away in New Orleans for the weekend - but this morning I was changing him for school and started counting....'one', he said 'two', I said 'three', and he said 'FOUR', etc. etc. And we each counted every other number up to 10. I'm quite amazed! The amount of things he learns in just a day now is incredible. After changing him, he wanted up on our bench by the kitchen window and kept saying "window, window". I'm sitting here in amazement wondering how he even knows these things. But then we will read one of his favorite books and the light bulb goes off. THAT'S where he learned it - or even just us, explaining things or talking all the time....they really pick up on everything. Not to mention everything he learns in his class. Time to make sure we don't say anything bad from now on, ha!
Ronan is really starting to show even more opinions than before. He LOVES to shake his head no - even if he doesn't really mean it. He'll get on a roll where every question I ask him, he vehemently shakes his head NO. Can you give Mommy a hug? Will you please take off your shoes? Do you want to take a bath? No, No, NO. Then my next question: "Do you want to eat?" - again, shakes his head no. Then immediately says "eat, eat, eat" and runs to his high chair. That's what I thought, Bubs, that's what I thought! I'll take it since he's not actually screaming "No" at us - I'm sure that's coming soon enough!
I have a ton of pictures from this month, just none of them here at work, so those will be uploaded soon. In the meantime, here is a quick comparison of this time last year. He was a big boy then, and he's even bigger now. And still just as happy. Almost TWO. Time flies.
