This weekend the baby jail was born! Rob and I stayed up late on Saturday night to get it all done. I think we went to bed at 12:30 or 1? Not that late by means of our previous pre-baby life, but now it's way past our bedtime. We felt the pain yesterday, but it was all worth it for our Bubba. He loves it! I still have some finishing touches to be made...and what my dear, sweet husband doesn't know yet is that I feel a paint job coming soon for that room, but it's not high on my list of priorities so hopefully he won't be too mad at me. :) We had to rearrange almost everything in the house to get what we affectionately call the baby jail up and running; it literally feels like a new home to us coupled with the fact that we just got new living room furniture. Our town home's floor plan has the intention of a large, loft like combined living room & dining room. But, the previous owners turned the smaller downstairs bedroom into a dining room by opening it up to the kitchen and removing the bedroom closet and using that space for a pantry. Since we decided this room was perfect for the baby jail, we turned our living room into what it was meant to be originally. We were pleasantly surprised by the outcome and feel like we should have done this from the beginning to adequately make use of our space. I can tell our dining room table will get much more use this way. Especially since it's better to get in the habit of not eating spaghetti on my new oatmeal colored couch!
Enjoy my phone pics, I hope to remind myself to post these every now and then. I feel these better represent our everyday moments with Ronan.
